5 FUN FACTS ABOUT OUR HANDMADE FACE MASKS!
Who would have thought the hottest accessory of 2020 would be a face mask? Not us. But hey, we're going with it!
A truckload of masks have flooded the market in the last few weeks, so to ensure you know what you're buying, we thought we'd tell you a little more about ours.
1. HANDMADE IN AUSTRALIA
All our masks are designed in Bondi and handmade by our own team of seamstresses right here in Australia.
Check out the quality here!
In line with recommendations made by the Victorian Chief Health Officer, our masks have three layers.
The outer layers are made with either 100% cotton or top quality linen, with a light, woven, polyester interfacing which gives the mask a little structure.

Except our all black Ninja masks, our masks are designed with a fun pattern on one side and block colour on the reverse side so you can wear the one piece two ways.
For example, our Grandma's Lounge mask has a classy floral design on one side, and plain neutral linen on the other.
No two faces are the same, so when your mask arrives, it will come with two, untied 30cm pieces of elastic which become ear loops.
Upon receiving, tie the elastic to your desired length and chop any excess to make it neat and tidy!
Fun fact: there have been HUGE shortages of elastic all over the country since masks became mandatory in Victoria! Luckily, we have many trusted suppliers and have managed to get our hands on enough to keep us going.

5. MACHINE-WASHABLE, REUSABLE & SUSTAINABLE
Unlike single use, disposable face masks (many of which are ending up as land fill & polluting our oceans), you can pop your Trove face mask through the washing machine and re-wear it as many times as you like.
We recommend a cold machine wash (to avoid shrinkage) and leave the mask to dry in the shade.
It is also recommended you wash your mask after each use.
