THE BUNKER BIBLE X AMY SHEPPARD FROM @WEARESHEPPARD
Right now, with everything going on, I am feeling:
Anxious. The initial shock has worn off and the fear has subsided slightly (now that everyone is mostly inside). I’m anxious because at this stage, there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel. Nobody knows how long this will all last or how severe the situation could become. When I start to feel overwhelm I try and focus back on what I can control. I also find that practicing gratitude immensely helpful I relieving anxiety.
Here’s three things I feel grateful for:
I’m currently bunkered down with most of my immediate family members so I’m grateful for having them around. I’m grateful for our health and I’m so grateful that I can still work from home by writing, recording and releasing music.
The best thing that happened to me this week is:
I have been weight training in my garage and I hit a 100kg squat this week! I’ve been working towards that for a long time so that was bit of a win for me.
I highly recommend a TV binge on:
Oh soo many! I think I’ve finished Netflix now. Ozark is a big one on Netflix, I also watched the new Pixar/Disney movie called ‘Onward’. If you want something casual to binge whilst scrolling on your phone try ‘Nashville’. It’s a guilty pleasure.
I’m loving listening to:
Favourite podcasts are: No Filter by Mia Freedman and Strangers by Lea Thau. I’ve also been listening and discovering to more local artists to try and show my support. Check out the “I Lost My Gig” playlist on Spotify.
I’ve got these books on my ‘to-read’ list:
“The Beauty Myth”- Naomi Wolf
“The Armchair Guide to Property Investing”- Ben Kingsley and Bryce Holdaway
“Sapiens” Yuval Noah Harari
My favourite bunker down snack is:
Anything and everything I bake.
The best board game is:
This Instagram page is giving me muchos LOLs:
When I’m feeling overwhelmed I:
Take a bath and have a glass.
The funniest thing I’ve seen about the situation so far is:
Tiger King Memes help.
In tricky times, I feel calm when I:
Put down my phone and listen to some music.
